Gakuran DEMAE App: Food Delivery & Courier Guide

DEMAE is the food-delivery system from update v8.200: order meals by phone and learn the bonus rule that pays active workers for preparing delivery orders.

What Is the DEMAE App in Gakuran?

DEMAE is the food-delivery system introduced by update v8.200 on September 5, 2026 — the same giant update that added the Club Akuma nightclub and the two new fighting styles. Order from your in-game phone, and the meal gets prepared by shop employees and couriers in the world rather than teleporting into your inventory.

A spelling note before anything else: update videos and community clips widely call the app “Demi”, but the official Trello patch text spells it DEMAE — Japanese for food delivery. This page uses the official string.

What Exactly Did Update v8.200 Change?

The developer’s patch notes are short and specific, and every working part of the system traces back to these three lines from the official board:

  • Shop employees now prepare DEMAE orders — delivery is staffed by real jobs, not magic.
  • Active workers receive a bonus for preparing delivery orders — with the developer’s own footnote: “no you cannot prepare your own order for the bonus.”
  • NPCs also order food, keeping couriers busy — demand is designed to stay high even when few players are ordering.

That last line matters for money-making: because NPC orders keep flowing, delivery work does not dry up on empty servers, which makes it one of the more reliable job loops in town. The beginner’s guide covers how jobs fit into the first-day Yen plan.

How Do You Order and Deliver Food with DEMAE?

Orders run through your in-game phone. Open the phone, find the DEMAE app among your apps, pick what you want, and place the order — the meal is then prepared by whichever shop employees and couriers are on shift, and NPCs queuing their own orders means there is usually activity on the line.

How Does the Worker Bonus Work?

If you are working a shop shift, preparing DEMAE delivery orders now pays a bonus on top of normal job earnings — that is the headline change of v8.200 for anyone grinding Yen. The anti-exploit rule is equally explicit: preparing your own order does not count for the bonus, so the loop only pays when you serve someone else’s delivery.

For players weighing jobs, this makes shop shifts more competitive than before — the job board on the phone now effectively has two income layers, base pay plus delivery bonuses. The nightclub’s Bar Staff and Security roles at Club Akuma are separate postings and do not appear to interact with the delivery bonus.

DEMAE FAQ

How do you deliver food in Gakuran?

Delivery is a job, not an app action: shop employees and couriers — real players on shift — prepare every DEMAE order, and active workers collect a bonus for it. Ordering from the in-game phone is what starts the flow; nothing delivers until someone orders, and NPC orders keep the line busy on quiet servers.

Is DEMAE the same thing as the Demi app people mention?

Yes — same system, two spellings. “Demi” is how it spread through update videos; DEMAE is the official Trello spelling. If a guide talks about the Demi food app, it is describing this delivery system.

Can you make good Yen as a courier?

The bonus structure is confirmed; the exact payout numbers are not. What the patch notes guarantee is demand (NPC orders keep couriers busy) and a stacking bonus for active workers. Precise per-order Yen lands here once tested or officially documented.

Which restaurants can you order from?

The full menu list is not published. Dante’s Yakiniku has served food since the v8.009 update in August, and it is the clearest candidate on the delivery line — but we are not printing a restaurant list until one can be verified in game or on the official board.
