FAQ

Is Kure the best fighting style in Gakuran?
The September 2026 tier consensus ranks Kure S-tier and calls it the best style you can realistically obtain — Ali and WingChun rank above it but roll at 0.025% each, while Kure is Legendary at 0.20%. The one wildcard is Mishima, which is unranked but widely called the new meta peak.
What are Kure's perks in Gakuran?
Five, per the official card: Last Stand (+15% total damage at 25% HP or less), Takedown (M2 headbutt grab, 1.5x damage and disorient), Concussive (M2 slam blocks the victim's parry for 2 seconds), Guard Pierce II (15% block chip), and Resilience I (15% grapple clash chance).
What height is best for Kure in Gakuran?
The official card recommends medium-to-tall — around 5'9" / 175 cm or taller — because reach is what lands the M2 grabs the whole kit scales from. The developers also confirm shorter builds stay viable if you prefer mobility.
How rare is Kure in Gakuran?
Kure is Legendary rarity, listed at 0.20% per roll in the September 2026 full style list. There is no pity system, so on statistical average a specific Legendary style takes several hundred rolls.

What Is the Kure Style in Gakuran?

Kure is the Legendary fighting style the September 2026 tier consensus calls the post-update carry: it hits fast and hard, chips through blocks, and strips parries — the exact kit that wins scrappy public fights. It launched with update v7.400 on July 11, 2026, and its official card is one of the few that publishes the full perk list as text, plus explicit build advice from the developers.

Kure’s 5 Perks, From the Official Card

The card text was transcribed when it went live (checked July 13, 2026) and every perk is independently corroborated by the community wiki’s Kure page — two sources, one kit:

PerkEffect
Last Stand+15% total damage while at 25% HP or less — the losing-trade comeback engine
TakedownThe M2 becomes a headbutt grab: disorients the victim and deals 1.5× damage
ConcussiveA successful M2 slam removes the victim’s ability to parry for 2 seconds
Guard Pierce II15% of your damage chips through a raised block
Resilience I15% chance a simultaneous-attack clash becomes a grapple

The pieces chain: heavies already cannot be blocked in Gakuran, so the Takedown grab is your opener; Concussive then deletes the victim’s best defensive answer for two seconds while you run M1 strings; Guard Pierce keeps turtlers bleeding; and if the trade war goes badly, Last Stand makes you most dangerous exactly when most styles fold. The official card sums the kit up as excelling in extended fights.

Is Kure Good in Gakuran?

September consensus puts Kure at the top of the realistic ladder. Ali and WingChun hold S-tier too, but both roll at 0.025% — one in four thousand rerolls — and WingChun’s placement is disputed by a top creator. Kure at 0.20% is the strongest style you can actually plan to land, which is why the tier list’s own verdict section names it the pick for most players. The standing caveat: Mishima is unranked but widely called the new meta peak, and its style guide documents a faster M1 chain — recheck the tier list before a long grind.

How Do You Get Kure?

There is no quest or shop path — Kure comes from the style reroll in the Stats menu, like every other rollable style. At 0.20% per roll with no pity system, expect a long grind: claim the free Rerolls from the codes page first, read the reroll guide for the spending strategy, and set a stop condition before you spin. The official card notes height and style are judged on the same character — if your Kure lands short, the developers’ position is that it still plays, just faster and closer instead of longer and heavier.

Kure FAQ

Does Kure counter parry-spammers?

Yes — that is what Concussive exists for. A successful M2 slam removes the victim’s ability to parry for 2 seconds, so the rhythm is grab first, then pressure while their parry is gone. The parry guide explains why that window matters so much.

Kure vs Mishima — which should I chase?

Different budgets. Mishima is the community’s meta pick with a documented speed kit, but it sits in or near the Secret band at community-reported ≈0.05%. Kure is S-tier at 0.20% with a fully published kit. If you want defined value per reroll, Kure is the honest pick; the Mishima comparison covers the gamble.

Why does the tier list trust Kure so much?

Because the kit answers the whole defensive meta: chip damage beats holding block, Concussive beats parrying, and the grab opener beats pure spacing. Styles that only do one of those things rank lower once opponents know the matchup — see the fighting styles list for how the bands compare.
