Gakuran Fighting Styles Tier List (September 2026)

Kure, Ali, and Wing Chun are the best fighting styles in Gakuran right now, while July’s favorite Boxing has slid down the table. Every style below is ranked from S to D with the reason behind the call, based on the freshest full list available (Roblox Den, checked September 11, 2026) cross-checked against July rankings from Beebom, Zhihu, and Eurogamer. A dash (–) in the tier column means the style has no published ranking yet.

TierStyleRarityWhy it lands here
SAli??? (0.025%)Elite boxing archetype — fluid footwork, rapid strikes, devastating counterpunches. Rolls at just 0.025%, the rarest pull in the game.
SWingChun??? (0.025%)Fast pressure with strong defense and high posture resistance. Rolls at 0.025% — and its S placement is contested (see warning).
SKureLegendary (0.20%)Hits fast and hard with solid chip damage and parry removal — the post-update carry.
AHakariLegendary (0.20%)Huge damage, but height-dependent — tall characters see inconsistent results.
AStrikerEpic (5%)Accelerating attack speed, feints, and relentless pressure break turtlers open; readable once learned. Based on one September ranking so far.
AWrestlingLegendary (0.20%)Massive damage potential, but lives and dies on landing grabs.
ABoxingEpic (5%)Aggressive pressure with iFrames and strong defense rewards — July’s #1, knocked down by September’s meta.
BCapoeiraLegendary (0.20%)Longest range in the game, but loses the moment someone closes the distance — proof that rarity is not tier.
BKarateUncommon (7.5%)Defense-focused and hard-hitting, but outclassed by every rare style above it.
BMuay ThaiUncommon (7.5%)High ceiling for dedicated mains, too demanding for everyone else.
KickboxingUncommon (7.5%)Mid-range pressure that slows enemy evasions and chains heavy follow-ups — community ranking not published yet.
Kyoushin KarateLegendary (0.20%)Iron Body tank style — absorbs damage, pierces guards, counters on precise blocks. Not yet ranked by September sources.
CQC??? (0.025%)Point-blank clinch and grappler that thrives on sustained close pressure. Not yet ranked by September sources.
DBasicCommon (59%)The default style — no perks, no reason to keep it.
DSluggerUncommon (7.5%)Pathetically slow; September sources rank it below even Basic.

What Changed Since July 2026

The August content update added three styles — Ali, Wing Chun, and Striker — and reshuffled the top end. Boxing was the unanimous best style at launch, praised for its uninterruptible M2 attacks, iFrames, and strong block chip damage; September sources now rate it merely B, either from nerfs or plain power creep, so treat any older tier list you find with suspicion. Karate also slid (July sources ranked it A, September drops it to C-tier territory), while Kure went from a middling roll to the best obtainable style. The community wiki now lists 14 styles in total — Kickboxing, Kyoushin Karate, and CQC complete the roster but no September ranking covers them yet, so their tier shows a dash until sources catch up.

Best Fighting Style in Gakuran Right Now

Kure is the pick for most players: it is Legendary rarity, hits fast and hard, chips through blocks, and strips parries — the exact kit that wins scrappy pub fights. Ali and Wing Chun rank above it, but both are ???-rarity rolls at just 0.025% each — one in four thousand rerolls — and Wing Chun’s S placement is disputed by a top creator, so Kure remains the strongest style you can realistically get. If you main a specific fantasy instead — range (Capoeira), grabs (Wrestling), raw damage (Hakari) — pick the A-tier that matches it, because mastery beats tier at this level.

How to Reroll Your Fighting Style

Open the side menu (the arrow on the left of the screen), go to Stats, and press the circular arrow next to Fight Style. Every reroll randomizes your style with no guarantee of an upgrade — the community wiki lists per-style odds from 59% for Basic down to 0.20% for each Legendary style and 0.025% for each of the three Secret styles (Ali, WingChun, CQC). Rerolls are expensive, so claim the free ones from our Gakuran codes page first — it currently has a code worth 50 Rerolls.

How This Tier List Is Made

Rankings are synthesized from published community sources, weighted toward the freshest: Roblox Den (full September list, checked September 11, 2026), cross-checked against Zhihu’s July ranking, Beebom’s July breakdown, Eurogamer’s launch guide, and the community wiki’s 14-style roster with per-style reroll odds. Kit descriptions for the styles September rankings do not cover come from the community wiki. A dash (–) in the tier column means no published ranking exists yet — those rows fill in as soon as post-update lists land. We do not hand-test every style yet, so treat tier boundaries as community consensus, not settled fact; rows firm up as first-hand testing and new sources come in. New to the game? Start with the Gakuran overview, and browse the codes hub before you reroll.
