Gakuran Mishima Style Guide: Perks & How to Get It
Mishima is the new secret-tier style from the September 2026 update with four perks and the fastest M1 string in the game — plus how to verify your roll.
What Is the Mishima Style in Gakuran?
Mishima is one of two fighting styles added in the September 5, 2026 giant update (v8.200). It is a speed-first archetype: a lightning M1 chain with almost no recovery window, an extended-reach fourth hit, and a two-hit critical — built to punish mistimed swings and careless dashes rather than out-trade raw damage.
| Quick fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Added | Giant update, September 5, 2026 (v8.200 era) |
| Rarity tier | Secret (???) — community-reported odds ≈ 0.05% per roll |
| How to obtain | Style reroll only — Stats menu; no quest or purchase path |
| How to verify | Open your Profile and press Show Perks — all four should list |
| Reroll cost | 5 Robux per spin, or free Rerolls from codes |
What Are Mishima’s Four Perks?
Mishima ships with four perks, verified across two independent September write-ups that describe the same mechanics: Unbothered, Concussive, Consistency, and Shifty. Together they make the style a counter-puncher’s dream — punish whiffs, tax careless trades, and never lose your dash.
| Perk | Effect |
|---|---|
| Unbothered | Getting hit while winding up a crit stuns both players and reflects the same damage back — the interrupt no longer grants your attacker a free trade |
| Concussive | The critical lands twice: a hook, then a ragdoll uppercut that launches the target up and back |
| Consistency | Land all 4 M1s on one target without missing to cripple them — movement speed cut for 4 seconds |
| Shifty | Dodge an enemy M1 with your dash and the dash cooldown instantly refunds — M1 dodges only; repositioning or heavy-attack dashes do not count |
How Do You Get Mishima?
There is no quest, boss, or shop path — the only route is the style reroll, the same way every other rare style drops. Open the menu with the arrow on the left, head into the Stats menu, and reroll your Fight Style until the Secret band lands. Each spin costs Robux — the reroll guide tracks current pricing — or burns one of the free Rerolls from the codes page; the beginner’s guide covers how to bank 40 of them free before you chase a sub-1% pull.
Because Mishima sits in or near the rarest band in the game, expect a long grind. Two habits make it cheaper: reroll in bulk while rates are visible in the Stats menu (bulk rerolls have shipped since July), and stop spending the moment you land anything you can climb with — the tier list has cheaper S-tier alternatives such as Kure if the odds refuse to cooperate.
Is Mishima Good?
September community consensus puts Mishima at the top of the meta — one early ranking calls it the “unanimous meta peak”, and the kit explains why: its M1 string is faster than Ali’s and Hakari’s, the fourth hit carries extended “phantom reach” that connects from unexpected range, and the Concussive critical ragdolls for a free follow-up. Nothing else in the current style rankings pressures quite the same way.
The Mishima Style, Explained video below walks the kit in game — embedded from the creator, worth watching before you commit rerolls.

Which Matchups Counter Mishima?
Mishima’s tempo is its armor, so styles that break tempo beat it. Wrestling command grabs interrupt the M1 rhythm outright, and disciplined Boxing or Capoeira players can whiff-punish the fourth hit’s long reach. Community build notes recommend medium-to-tall height for maximum strike reach — tall builds trade some attack speed for that extra connect range, which suits this kit. Two cross-checks before committing rerolls: the Lethwei comparison covers the other style from this update, and v9.00 (September 19) added Jin and Dragon Maid with no kit breakdowns yet — the tier list tracks whether anything displaces Mishima.
Mishima FAQ
Everything else players ask about the new style, short and sourced:
Is Mishima really better than Kure and Ali?
On September evidence, yes against most of the field: faster M1s than Ali with a safer crit, and more pressure than Kure outside Kure’s low-health power window. But the tier list calls are days old and the meta is still settling — reroll with a margin, not your last spin.
What are the exact odds of rolling Mishima?
Unverified. Community roundups report the Secret band at roughly 0.05% per roll combined, and per-style odds inside that band have never been officially disclosed. The moment the developer’s Trello board publishes a number, this page updates — until then, treat every figure you see, including ours, as community-reported.
Do I keep Mishima if I reroll again for something else?
No — rerolling replaces your current style, and Mishima will not be waiting in a collection. Decide before you spin: if you land it, play it for a week before chasing anything else.
